I Am Still a Hamilton Kid

This personal essay explores the enduring impact of Hamilton, the popular Broadway musical, on my life, weaving together reflections on its themes of ambition, satisfaction, and self-worth with my own struggles to navigate these concepts. Using key moments from the musical as a lens, I examine my relationship with empathy, validation, and the fear of failure while drawing parallels between the characters’ lives and my own.

Authors whose work is accepted and who publish with The University of Colorado Honors Journal agree to the following terms:

6. The Author agrees to indemnify and hold Publisher harmless from Author’s breach of the representations and warranties contained above, as well as any claim or proceeding relating to Publisher’s use and publication of any content contained in the Work, including third-party content.
